What is a Cash Secured Put Option?

Cash Secured Put Option is only available for Margin Accounts.

A cash secured put is an options trading strategy where an investor sells a put option and simultaneously sets aside enough cash to purchase the underlying asset if the option is exercised.

The cash secured amount will be the option contract's strike price multiplied by the number of shares (Option Contract Quantity x 100 shares).
