What is legging-out?

Legging out refers to the act of closing out part of the position from a complex options strategy. Webull only offer legged-out by closing the options position.

Assume that you have a covered put strategy which consists of short shares and short put.

You can leg out by clicking on the short put position.

By closing the position you would have effectively legged out of your covered put strategy.
